Downloading Your Report

  1. Open the report you wish to download by selecting it from the Keyword Finder sidebar menu.
  1. Click on the Export button.
  2. Select the desired file format for your download: All Keywords (.xls) or All SERPs (.xls).

You can use two types of clustering on LowFruits: SERP Clustering and Semantic Clustering.

SERP Clustering

Keyword SERP clustering allows SEO professionals to group similar keywords based on their search intent, which in turn helps them create more targeted content that can improve their rankings in the SERPs.

LowFruits applies a SERP clustering method that groups keywords in the same cluster if they share at least 40% of their URLs in the SERPs.

The main keyword of the cluster is the one with the highest estimated search volume.

You can adjust the threshold for SERP similarity in the clustering settings. The higher the threshold, the greater the similarity of the keywords within a given cluster.

Why use SERP Clustering?

Three main reasons:

How do you generate keyword clusters?

Head to your report's clusters tab and click on “Clustering”.

The clustering might take a few minutes, depending on the number of analyzed keywords.

How to use keyword cluster data?

1 keyword cluster = 1 article.

  1. Use the primary keyword (the highest search volume in the cluster) in the article title.
  2. Use secondary keywords as subheadings or word variations inside your text.
  3. If a secondary keyword is broad enough, create a separate article and link it to the main one for increased topical authority.

What should I do if I'm already ranking for a cluster?

If you're already ranking for a cluster, optimize your ranking article. You can do this by adding secondary keywords to the article, optimizing your meta descriptions, and adding internal links.

What if several of my URLs rank for the same cluster?

If multiple URLs rank for the same cluster, you might be facing a keyword cannibalization problem. First, list the URLs and the ranking keywords. Check the keywords in each article. If there are duplicates, designate the top-performing page as your main page for the target keyword. LowFruits' SERP Difficulty (SD) score streamlines this process by providing an accessible and efficient way to assess keyword competition. The SERP Difficulty score (SD) makes it easier and faster to discover which keywords to go after.

Note: The SD score takes into account the Google Helpful Content Update in September 2023 (forums are not as easily beatable as before).

To simplify the process, there are just three score levels:

1: Easy keywords – low-hanging fruit keywords you want to target first.

2: Medium difficulty – more challenging than easy keywords.

3: High difficulty – challenging to rank without link-building efforts or a high DA.

Use the SD filter to sort through the results.

Click on “Columns” and then select “# Weak Websites” to view the number of weak websites in your list of keywords.

Hovering over the data in your list or on the SD score will display the date of its last update.

It's important to note that using credit is required to access the SERP data and to compute the latest SERP difficulty score.

What is Google Auto Complete?

As you enter a search term in the Google search bar, you'll notice a dropdown menu featuring a selection of keyword suggestions.

These proposed keywords are connected to your initial search term and derived from user search queries.

Getting keyword ideas is the foundation of any SEO strategy, as it lets you know what people are searching for.

Focus on the wrong topics, and you’ll spend resources that won’t lead to any results.

How Does the LowFruits KWFinder Work?

The Keyword Finder is a turbocharged Google Auto Complete extractor.

It uses techniques like:

  • Alphabet Soup Method (learn more)
  • High-intent modifiers around your seed keyword to extract questions and high-intent keywords:

Very narrow or sensitive topics like weapons, drugs, etc., won’t return any results. If your search is too narrow, try broadening it. Also, check your “Exclude” field. It might contain a filter like [country]

Some of the keyword ideas are in other languages

The KWFinder extracts keyword ideas from Google Auto Complete. Sometimes Google Auto Complete generates keyword ideas in other languages. LowFruits has language detection but in some cases, the keywords are the same in several languages and are hard to detect.

You can hide these keywords using the hiding icon or use the high-intent filter to focus only on high-intent keywords in your target language.

A few tips

  • Brainstorm topic ideas before conducting keyword research. Consider dog breeds, activities, and toys rather than just thinking of dogs. Compile a comprehensive list of seed keyword ideas (such as “dog activities”) and use them as the basis for keyword research in LowFruits.
  • Merge reports (before analysis). Merge reports that are related to the same topic (e.g. reports for “dog activities” and “dog toys”). You’ll gather all the data in one place.
  • Are you constantly working in the same country and language? Save time and define the default settings in your user settings.
